Certificate No. 0474 issued by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania gives the right to the State Enterprise Transport and Road Research Institute to carry out design of construction works, general expertise of road projects and road structures and to perform technical supervision for the construction of road structures.

The Institute has successfully introduced a Quality Management System corresponding to the requirements of EN ISO 90001:2000 (LST EN ISO 9001:2001) standard.

The staff of the Institute has a long-time experience in different type of engineering works in Lithuania and abroad.

Research and design works are carried out by Environmental Protection Division, Communication Development Division, Road Survey Division, Bridge Survey Division and Traffic Safety Group.

The Institute has been continuously organizing seminars and trainings aimed at improving the skills and qualification of Lithuanian road engineers.

The Institute also hosts a Technical library.

Transport and Road Research Institute is a well known research institution in Lithuania and abroad, it is the member of the Forum of European Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL).
