The main task of the Institute – to solve the issues of traffic safety assurance, to analyze condition of road infrastructure, to study traffic flows on Lithuanian roads, to investigate and assess environmental impact of roads and vehicles, to prepare transport development programs and normative documents for road and bridge maintenance, to form the Road Data Bank (see About Us, Activities).
